I was completely concerned that every one of us needed to update the unit however the Heating as well as A/C machine serviceman said that there were ways to make it operate more efficiently without any sort of upgrade. He said that one of the main reasons for systems having to work harder is the buildup of dirt plus debris in the air duct of the residence… Since the HVAC machine is roughly seven years old, it has had that long to have this build up happen in our residence. The two of us have boys, dogs, plus have done some serious renovations over the years so I am sure that all of that has added to the problem we are facing. He easily made the suggestion of a cleaning of the air duct plus explained that they use powerful vacuums plus brushes to completely sweep any dust plus debris from the inner workings of the system. The two of us agreed to pay for the service plus when they arrived to do the job I could not believe the size of the machine that they used. What shocked me more was the nearly twenty pounds of debris they managed to remove. This left me feeling easily embarrassed that our beach residence was incredibly dirty. They said that this was completely common for systems like ours however requested that every one of us have it cleaned at least every few years. They also said that if every one of us did any projects or renovations every one of us should shut the HVAC machine off if possible or at least cover the HVAC vents to avoid any serious issues.
