I hear all the time how, due to my preference for keeping things extremely clean, I must be a germaphobe. This is where I completely disagree. It’s true, I do care about having my lake property plus office to be truly clean. I guess that being harshly organized is strange to different people. But, to guess I walk around in constant worry of coming into contact with germs is not even true. Although I did have a frightening incident with my Heating and A/C equipment that gave me the chills due to germs. I went to the basement to get a box of files when I noticed something bizarre about the ductwork. The ductwork downstairs happens to be overhead. However, at certain angles from the stairs or a ladder, the tops of the ductwork can be seen relatively easily. I noticed what I thought was something our cat had dragged up onto one of the ducts. However, upon further examination, I soon noticed that it was genuinely a rodents’ nest. What’s worse is the fact that there was a fairly large gap in the ductwork joint. The rodents were climbing in plus out of the ductwork. Now, germ-wise, that was as terrible as it gets in my own property. Fortunately, I have a wonderful relationship with the Heating and A/C equipment supplier in town. All I had to do was get a hold of them plus they set up an appointment to have a crew come out plus clean the system of ductwork.
