I recently read an interesting article that changed my thinking.

When I first bought my condo I got a lot of advice from my parents about how to do things.

This was a good help because I honestly had no clue when it came to condo ownership and what it entailed however now that I have lived in my property for nearly 10 years I’ve learned a lot on my own as well. The article I was studying was about the myths surrounding your Heating, Ventilation & A/C system and how it operates. Many people fall into the trap of these misconceptions and it ends up costing more money in the long run. The first one that comes to mind is the idea that a greater Heating, Ventilation & A/C system is constantly better. This is not the case because if your system is too pressing for the space you are trying to heat and cool it can end up costing you more money to operate. When you are in the market to purchase a modern Heating, Ventilation & A/C system you need to consider carefully and have an assessment of the space performed so that you purchase the proper size unit for when you are home. Another thing that my parents told me was that I should never turn off the cooling system when I am not condo because it costs more to cool the entire property down when I get home. The article I read indicated that this is a myth as well because any time you can shut off your cooling system for numerous hours it does save money over time. The article also recommended installing a smart control unit that can be programmed to shut the system off when you are not condo and turn it on an hour or so before you arrive at the end of the day.
