Common misconceptions about Heating plus A/C systems.
I recently read an interesting article that changed my thinking.
- When I first purchased my apartment I got a lot of advice from my parents about how to do things.
This was a wonderful help because I undoubtedly had no clue when it came to apartment ownership plus what it entailed however now that I have lived in my condo for nearly 10 years I have learned a lot on my own as well. The article I was learning was about the myths surrounding your Heating plus A/C system plus how it operates. Many people fall into the trap of these misconceptions plus it ends up costing more money in the long run. The first one that comes to mind is the idea that a greater Heating plus A/C system is constantly better. This is not the case because if your system is too big for the space you are trying to heat plus cool it can end up costing you more money to operate. When you are in the market to purchase a new Heating plus A/C system you need to consider carefully plus have an assessment of the space performed so that you purchase the usual size component for when you are home. Another thing that my parents told me was that I should never turn off the cooling system when I’m not apartment because it costs more to cool the entire condo down when I get home. The article I read indicated that this is a myth as well because any time you can shut off your cooling system for multiple hours it does save money over time. The article also recommended installing a smart thermostat that can be programmed to shut the system off when you are not apartment plus turn it on an hour or so before you arrive at the end of the day.
