Last week was my birthday.

• My good friend and I had a large celebration to celebrate as it was a big birthday… Unluckyly, I had to do all of the cooking for it.

I appreciate to cook however it was my celebration. I thought I shouldn’t have too. Unluckyly, I am the only one in the family who can even cook well too. I suppose it wasn’t awful after my buddy and I fixed the small complication that my buddy and I had. I had started to bake some desserts for the celebration. I was baking cookies & such. I went outside to set everything up & i had completely forgotten about all of the cookies! I ran back inside. The house was filled with smoke & the smell of something burning. I opened the oven & smoke just blew right towards me. I grabbed the cookies out & they were ruined. I had tried so hard to make these cookies nice. This was right before almost everyone was going to get here too. My good friend and I tried as best as my buddy and I could to get the smell out of the house. Unluckyly my buddy and I do not even have a ventilation system for instances like this. My good friend and I opened all of the windows & lit some candles. It took a long time to get the smell out. I guess after this incident, my buddy and I will be investing in a ventilation system. These systems are meant for getting those awful smells out of your apartment quick. My good friend and I easily could have used one, however just when you do not guess you will need something, you absolutely end up needing it more than you would have ever thought.
