I wanted to kick myself for not seeing it sooner

I am always amazed by how several answers to life’s questions are entirely right in front of us. This is forever making itself known to myself and others throughout our life. I put all this energy into finding a resolution to some challenge only to see that there was a perfectly satisfactory solution right in front of my own two eyes. Take our child’s bedroom for a wonderful example. My youngest is forever complaining that her room never gets moderately warm enough. However, once the lot of us cranked the central heating up to where she is comfortable in her room, the rest of us are way too hot. This kid can also be a bit on the sensitive side to begin with. However, it really does seem as if her bedroom stays at least 10 degrees colder than the rest of our home. I just wasn’t able to find a wonderful answer for her and that made myself feel like an awful dad. None of it makes sense given the position of her room. I have offered her the guest room although she hates it and thinks it is just so small for her. It was up to myself and others to find a solution to this heating and A/C heating puzzle. Our neighbor is a heating and A/C serviceman so, I offered him a sixer of coronas to come have a look. His answer was just so obvious and simple. I wanted to kick myself for not seeing it sooner. My neighbor suggested I simply install room to room ventilators. I did and it instantly solved the heating and A/C problem in our youngest’s room. I still can’t fathom that I went all that time without ever considering such a simple solution to an unusual problem.
