My parents and I have attended the same church for several decades now.

• We all thought that I would stay in the city after studying high school and college in another city for over 6 years.

But for some reason I found my way back here. There’s something very special about living close to the people you love. It was hard when I lived away in my college days & did not have anyone to turn to when things felt like crushing in on me. I would rush back to my residence to cry over the things that bothered me especially when the days got stressful. So it’s a real treat for me to be back among the people I loved and in a community that is familiar and warm. I wasn’t originally planning on going to church after getting back here but it was impossible to stay away. Besides that, many of my old friends from middle and high school are back here in the same community and since a few of them are going back to our old church, I thought of going too. It’s nice to meet up with these people and old friends after the church services. However, right now the church seems to be dealing with a major issue. The heating & cooling system needs to be repaired. The furnace suddenly stopped working the previous month and now we are wondering how long it’s going to take for their Heating & Air Conditioning company to send an HVAC tech to check the furnace. Thankfully, the heating equipment is still under 10 year warranty cover so there was nothing to worry about.
