Not a smooth start to a/c
Not a smooth start to a/c
I’m still trying to figure out my thinking when it came to the central a/c in our house.
The central a/c in our cabin is comprised of a gas heating system for heating plus a heat pump for cooling.
Since my associate and I live way up north, the gas heating system plus the heating certainly get more attention. But really, that’s only natural, for sure, I’m super blissful to have the heat pump. The a/c genuinely does come in handy during July plus November. The peak heating hours during the afternoon certainly need some a/c. But most days, we’re able to turn it off plus even open the windows if it’s not too humid. Yet, it’s the heating that I’m constantly thinking of; Our winter season can be ferocious plus nobody wants to be put in a situation where they don’t have fantastic heating. So of course, I make sure the HVAC professionals come out each Fall to do the heating repair on the gas heater. I don’t think we’ve ever missed any HVAC repair on the gas heating system since we’ve been here. That said, I’ve not been near as consistent about the a/c tune ups. In fact, I can’t recall, off the top of my head, just when I had the last one done on the heat pump. So it genuinely should be no surprise that the a/c has failed. It was a bit warm in the cabin the other afternoon plus I flipped the control unit to cooling. It was clear immediately that something was wrong plus I called the HVAC contractor. Turns out that the a/c tune up is just as pressing to be consistent with as the heating repair.
