I’m still trying to figure out my thinking when it came to the central air conditioner in our house.

The central air conditioner in our house is comprised of a gas boiler for heating and a heat pump for cooling.

Since my good friend and I live way up north, the gas boiler and the heating particularly get more attention; But really, that’s only natural; For sure, I’m super blissful to have the heat pump. The air conditioner particularly does come in handy during July and August. The peak heating hours during the day particularly need some air conditioner. But most nights, we’re able to turn it off and even open the windows if it’s not too humid. Yet, it’s the heating that I’m always thinking of; Our winter season can be ferocious and nobody wants to be put in a situation where they don’t have good heating. So of course, I make sure the Heating and Air Conditioning professionals come out each Fall to do the heating maintenance on the gas heater. I don’t know we’ve ever missed any Heating and Air Conditioning maintenance on the gas boiler since we’ve been here. That said, I’ve not been near as consistent about the air conditioner tune ups. In fact, I can’t recall, off the top of my head, just when I had the last one done on the heat pump. So it particularly should be no surprise that the air conditioner has failed. It was a bit warm in the dwelling the other day and I flipped the thermostat to cooling. It was clear right away that something was wrong and I called the Heating and Air Conditioning business. Turns out that the air conditioner tune up is just as crucial to be consistent with as the heating maintenance.
