I go to my Grandfatherrent’s house often and their house is pretty old.

They really never tried to replace anything! Well, they have replaced the roof of the house once however it could use it again, but my Grandfather is constantly outside laboring on the farm and my Grandma is inside baking and cooking.

The house, you can tell, is falling apart however at their age, they just don’t care as much anymore. I recall Grandfather saying that he doesn’t plan on giving the house away after death and this house will end with him and Grandma. In a way, I respect that, however in another way, I find that really nuts! Like, wouldn’t he want his house to go to family and see it go to great use? I do suppose about them growing up in that house and all the difficulties they had with sleep and trying to stay cool. They never had air conditioner. They also really never replaced the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C system. In order to stay cool in the house, they would open the windows and pray there was a breeze. That is no life for me and I need my cool air conditioner to keep me calm. I get pretty frustrated if I can’t sleep well. I know it’s possible, tons of people have gone their whole life without air conditioner however is that ideal? At one point, you really didn’t have an option however we do now so why live without it? I’m sure if my Grandfatherrents grew up in this afternoon and age they would have air conditioner.
