It’s been nearly a year now since my pal and I moved into this house, then and this was a first for my spouse & I, then not only is this our first apartment since being married, it’s our first time being homeowners altogether.

The fact that my pal and I had our own quality heating & air, a yard & a mortgage was something to celebrate… But being a modern homeowner also comes with a learning curve.

There is a lot more responsibility on us now that my pal and I own our house & are building equity instead of renting. And that started as soon as my pal and I got the keys, however our locale needed a great bit of work when my pal and I bought it. But outside of one plumbing issue & the outdated HVAC equipment, my pal and I have been doing the work ourselves, however getting modern heating & cooling unit though was paramount when my pal and I moved in, but my friend and I got in the apartment in October. And around here, that’s akin to living on the surface of the sunlight it’s so hot, but so my pal and I had to instantly address the heating & cooling issue. The heat pump was shot & so was the ductwork come to find out. The HVAC contractor offered a much closer inspection of the ductwork than the house inspector. And it was clear that my pal and I were going to have to upgrade the ductwork if my pal and I wanted central a/c. But the more my pal and I talked with the HVAC professionals, the more it made wonderful sense to go with a ductless multi split system. This was, my pal and I didn’t have to go through the mess & cost of ripping out & replacing the ductwork. Plus, ductless heat pumps are truly, truly efficient. So in the end, it was an self-explanatory decision to go ductless.
