Coming home to a failed A/C system
Craig was already exhausted from work, as usual, but he figured it was early enough to at least attempt to call out a heating and air conditioning technician to take a look at what the problem might be.
Craig was driving home on a long commute back from work in rush hour traffic. It was a scorcher outside, but at least his truck had excellent air conditioning. Air conditioning in this intense southern heat is something that he had honestly started taking for granted. Little did he know that when he got home, he would discover that his air conditioner system was not working properly. He stepped inside his house, and immediately noticed the heat and humidity inside his home. It was very uncharacteristic. Sure, he turns the thermostat up before he leaves each morning for work, but he doesn’t turn it up to the point where it may as well not be on at all. The air conditioner is still set to 78°, which should have kept things relatively cool. Instead, Craig realized that there was actually warm air blowing from the air conditioning vents. No amount of fiddling with the thermostat could bring the air conditioning to the coolness level that he desires. In fact, it wasn’t even getting close. Craig was already exhausted from work, as usual, but he figured it was early enough to at least attempt to call out a heating and air conditioning technician to take a look at what the problem might be. Unfortunately, his preferred HVAC company was not able to send a technician until the following day. Craig reflected on and took solace in the fact that he had racked up enough days off to stay home from work to be there to let in the HVAC technician in the morning. Still, he knew that it was going to be a hot night. At least he had a couple fans to work with!
