As the sunlight beats down on me, I can’t help however be thankful for the comfort of my the air conditioner in my home. Today, the boys and I were working on some road pavements that needed to be fixed after a long winter. We get paid very well however sometimes this heat is unbearable and my associate and I need to take various breaks in our trucks. Today, it was a bit different; My air conditioner broke in my truck so there was nowhere to escape the heat. I would stand in one of my colleague’s trucks however they don’t take care of their trucks. They are supposed to be disinfect however there is clutter and old food wrappers in their passenger seats. I just don’t want to take the chance of getting sauce or whatever on my pants sitting in their trucks. I brought plenty of frosty water however as the afternoon went on that actually wasn’t frosty anymore. It was going to be a long afternoon and the only saving grace I had was dinner, but lunch was something I was looking forward to. I actually wasn’t seriously hungry although I needed the air conditioner to cool down my body. Lunch arrived, my associate and I walked into the closest diner and I could feel the air conditioner pour onto me and it felt magnificent. We took an extended dinner that afternoon because of how boiling it was and during dinner one of my buddies started to disinfect out his passenger seat for me. I hope he gets that disinfect however if not I’ll just have to tough it out and when I get home, turn on my central air conditioner, overall, I’m thankful the state pays well and before I leave dinner, I have to fill my water bottle with lots of ice and frosty water.
