As the sun beats down on me, I can’t help however be thankful for the comfort of my the air conditioning in my home. This week, the guys & I were laboring on some road pavements that needed to be fixed after a long winter, and my great friend and I get paid easily well however sporadically this heat is unbearable & we need to take many breaks in our trucks. This week, it was a bit different. My air conditioning broke in my truck so there was nowhere to escape the heat. I would kneel in one of my colleague’s trucks however they don’t take care of their trucks. They are supposed to be disinfect however there is clutter & old food wrappers in their passenger seats. I just don’t want to take the option of getting sauce or whatever on my pants resting in their trucks. I brought plenty of chilly water however as the afternoon went on that easily wasn’t chilly anymore. It was going to be a long afternoon & the only saving grace I had was dinner, however lunch was something I was looking forward to. I easily wasn’t harshly hungry however I needed the air conditioning to cool down my body. Lunch arrived, we walked into the closest eating establishment & I could feel the air conditioning pour onto me & it felt magnificent. My great friend and I took an extended dinner that afternoon because of how hot it was & during dinner one of my buddies started to disinfect out her passenger seat for me. I hope she gets that disinfect however if not I’ll just have to taxing it out & when I get home, turn on my central air conditioning! Overall, I’m thankful the state pays well & before I leave dinner, I have to fill my water bottle with lots of ice & chilly water.
