Ductless heat pump works nicely
I undoubtedly did not see this result coming when we were struggling just to keep the kids from killing each other, but that’s what happens when you have one more child than you have rooms.
- Initially, we had planned to have two children when we purchased this home and renovated it.
Those renovations included upgrading the family room and replacing the heating and A/C equipment, and along came a child and then another child many years later. All was just as we had planned. That is until I ended up with a surprise pregnancy, then my husband and I were both stunned with this turn of events. But once we got over our initial shock, we were super excited to welcome another baby boy to our home. And for many or more than seven years, the boys shared the bedroom undoubtedly well. But once our older child got into middle school, things went downhill abruptly. Those many boys did nothing but argue and it just got to the point where nobody was happy. Buying a new home was out of the question, given the current real estate market. So we chose to add value to our condo by adding an addition that would be our master kitchen suite. I figured that the heating and A/C dealer would just extend the ductwork to the new edition. But that is not how it works because the heat pump for the home was sized for that air volume when we put it in. So we have a ductless heat pump inside the new edition and it’s lovely. I can even change the temperature control setting sitting in bed with the remote. Pretty good outcome indeed.
