There’s no doubt that we need all the quality heating and air that we can get for this region. Somehow, we hit the double bonus when it comes to weather extremes. Currently, it’s in the twenties outside and that’s a bit of a warming trend. So one would thing that since we deal with such a brutal winter, we’d get have a lovely summer. That is so not the case. By mid June, it’s blistering outside and the air conditioning is running night and day just like the gas furnace is right now. Of course, this can cause its own set of problems outside of comfort. The cost of heating and cooling this house has been barely manageable. But thankfully, that has changed with a new HVAC equipment upgrade. After nearly 25 years, we decided to upgrade both sides of the central air conditioning unit. that means a new gas furnace for the winter and a new heat pump for the summer. this would not have been possible had I not gotten left a significant sum of money in my parents died. instead of doing a heat pump one year and then doing the gas furnace the next, we were lucky to just be able to knock the whole thing out in one HVAC upgrade. I don’t know what the summer will bring but if this winter is any indication, we’re in for a whole lot more affordable comfort in the summer. our house has never been warmer and I’ve never paid as little for heating in the house. that just goes to show you the advancements in HVAC technology. And the quality heating and air match the improved operating expenses. Plus, we’ve added a great deal of value to our home as we’re thinking of selling it.
