I’ve made a ton of mistakes in my life, some of the mistakes were with money and some of them were with lovers.

I’ve thrown away a lot of good women because of my own ego and foolish pride.

I was impatient with money and with lovers and lost them both. I see a lot of my friends who are happily married with kids and local businesses and I feel like I am on the outside looking in. I don’t have any of that stuff in my life and I sometimes feel like I am living a shell of a life. My heating and cooling contractor friend has a big family and houses and all kinds of things. And when I visit him I wonder what I did with my whole life and why I have very little to show for the 55 years I have been on this planet. Yes, I am a certified HVAC expert and have run my own HVAC business, but I have nothing really to show for it except a folding bike and a djembe drum. I do have a lot of experiences and memories over the past twenty years with all of the comedy and musical shows I have done in several countries around the world, so I guess we trade one thing for another. I will probably be doing geothermal heat pump repairs and ductwork cleaning for the rest of my life, and maybe having kids was never on the table for me because I can barely take care of myself. I guess this is how it is supposed to be.
