Stuck in a cottage with no heating
Desperate times call for desperate measures, which is why I wound up getting charged all that cash for property damages.
I would like to explain our side of the story, plus how it was necessary to smash up all the furniture in the cottage, however first of all, both of us were completely blindsided by the snowstorm, I suppose the entire section was caught unawares, both of us had rented the cottage for the night as a fun little getaway, not realizing both of us would get snowbound.
The power went out, which meant there was no WIFI, plus no heating, but even if both of us could make it to the automobile to use its heater, the snow banks were too tall for us to drive anyway. There was a small fireplace in the cottage, but no wood for it, nor was there an ax so that I could go cut some wood. I had no option but to beginning smashing furniture, splitting it into little pieces, plus then putting them in the fireplace. This was our first time ever using a fireplace, plus I didn’t recognize that I needed to open the flue, once the fireplace started to heat the cottage up, it also filled with black smoke, nearly choking us to death! Both of us managed to survive the night, plus got rescued the next day, but at that point our attempts to use the fireplace had caused hundreds of dollars worth of damages to the cottage. Besides the broken furniture plus the smoke damage, I had also permanently ruined the indoor air pollen levels of the locale. But I still don’t suppose it’s our fault.
