It’s not easy to become a certified Heating and Air Conditioning maintenance and installation specialist. One way you can get your foot into the door is by attending an authorized school program that teaches heating and A/C system repair. Unfortunately for me, there are no schools in the section that offer Heating and Cooling services. When I wanted to find a task working in the industry, I had to find a woman that was willing to supply myself and others a chance. I applied for a lot of weird tasks. I finally got hired by a dealer that does heating, cooling, and plumbing repairs. The owner of the supplier was looking for a woman to work in the warehouse fulfilling orders. I applied for that task and I told the owner of the dealer that I really wanted to learn Heating and Air Conditioning maintenance work. She told myself and others to stick around, because there would be an opportunity to learn more. After I had worked at the heating and AC maintenance supplier for 2 years, I finally got the opportunity to work in the field. I helped a single of the guys with an installation task. I did so well that the boss said she would start training myself and others for other repairs. After 2 years of working as an apprentice, I finally had the expertise and skills to take the board certification test. I passed and became a fully licensed Heating and Air Conditioning repairman. It took a lot of hard work and dedication to reach my goals and fulfill my dreams, but I’m cheerful that I did not quit when things got difficult.
