I’ve never been the first one to rush out and get the latest thing when it comes to gadgetry.

I just never been that way.

While I have plenty of technology to lean on every day, there aren’t a bunch of electronic gadgets. There are many of my friends and colleagues who race around trying to find the very latest thing to add to their home. It’s almost like a midlife crisis. Eventually, all those fancy new gadgets end up making up a bunch of junk. I’m more from coming home and putting my feet up in the central air conditioning of my house. I don’t make time for keeping up with trends or anything like that. But one of my buddies does and it ended up saving me a bunch of money. I have a friend who has a workshop just chock full of every imaginable tool. I was over there and just happened to pick up an instant read thermometer gun. My friend explained how he used it to check his house to be sure it was tight for the winter. Of course, the tighter the house, the more HVAC efficiency. And that means less cost when it comes to HVAC heating. He let me borrow it just to see if I could improve my situation. I was aghast to see that my house was leaking HVAC energy all over the place. With the help of the thermal gun, I was able to locate all of the places where the HVAC heating was leaking. I can’t wait till we get into the depths of winter to see just how much I’m going to save on HVAC heating costs.
