It was a Herculean effort for us to get moved out of our family home. Yet, that’s part of the territory when it comes to living inside the same central air conditioning for nearly thirty years. We accumulated so much stuff. There is an entire house full of junk that had to be dealt with. When we first started talking about selling the house, I thought it would be just a matter of replacing the HVAC equipment and making a few other improvements. That’s how crazy I was to think it would be that easy to deal with so much stuff. Not only is there all mine and my wife’s belongings but the kids have left behind plenty as well. We gave the children a heads up to get anything they wanted but we ended up giving most of it away. We did end up replacing the residential HVAC in our home. That was sort of the thing that got us initially talking about selling the house. Our HVAC unit went nearly 30 years but it wasn’t going to last forever. The HVAC technician made sure we understood the window that we were looking at. So we replaced it with the latest in residential HVAC and HVAC technology. We did a good job of balancing the value of our home with the level of HVAC equipment we bought. But it was still such a huge effort to pack up our stuff and pare down in an effort to move to a much smaller home. But at least our new home came with some great quality heating and air which was so nice.
