I happen to be one of those guys that can get ahead of myself and dive into something head first.

It’s been that way with all sorts of things from diets to exercise to home projects.

But it eventually I tend to fade when it comes to that initial enthusiasm. And that fade turns into a total slide and I leave a lot of things undone. I still have a gym membership but can’t seem to get excited enough about the gym anymore to get out of the central air conditioning for a workout. There was a sort of similar action when we got the new HVAC equipment a few years ago. When we bought our home, it came with HVAC equipment that we knew was not going to last all that long. Since the seller wasn’t interested in replacing the heating and cooling equipment, we negotiated a better price on the house which worked out for us. So we started saving for a new HVAC unit right away. When the time finally came, we were ready and got the latest and greatest when it came to residential HVAC. From the very first day, I was all about making sure the new HVAC unit got what it needed. The HVAC warranty was registered with the factory the very day after it was installed. I was also really good about making sure the HVAC equipment got all the seasonal HVAC maintenance it needed. But it was my wife who pointed out that we could be fully committed by joining the HVAC service plan. She was absolutely right as my commitment to HVAC maintenance might have faltered. I’m so glad we have the HVAC service plan and I don’t have to worry about dropping the ball when it comes to HVAC maintenance.
