The smart control component took a little time to cool down our home, but eventually the was on even though it was chilly outside

I live in the southeastern region of the country. The winters are usually mild, and some Winter time afternoons are moderate and some are cold. I made our smart control component confused today. I am going through a very strenuous time in our life, so when I get the energy and motivation I try to do yoga at lake home in our residing room. I have sliding doors that open to the garden, and I usually open the doors when I do yoga to let fresh air in. It was chilly enough today to trigger our smart control component to turn the heat on. I decided to do yoga with the heat on and I did not open the door to let the chilly air in at first. I figured that I have done hot yoga in hotter temperatures before, so I would be okay. I was wrong. I started getting hot because the yoga class I was taking was quite intense. I opened the sliding doors to let chilly air in, and this caused our smart control component to turn the heat up even higher because there was chilly air coming into the house. I did not guess cool enough, so I closed the doors. Then I used our smart lake home component to tell our smart control component to turn the on, then during this time of trying to get the indoor air temperature just right, I paused our yoga class. The smart control component took a little time to cool down our home, but eventually the was on even though it was chilly outside. I thought to myself that I must have confused our smart control unit.
