There are several of my male friends that are just so macho and act like they are the boss of everything.

And that goes double for anything that goes on inside the central air conditioning of their homes.

And in every case all of those guys have wives who are the ones who call the shots. I think this is why they put on the way they do. But then again, the male ego is a fragile thing. I know what’s up in my house. When it comes to partners, I couldn’t have a better one than my wife. Sometimes she has the reins and other times I take the reins. That’s what a partnership actually is. I also know that she rules the roost when it comes to the HVAC. She is just so much more temperature sensitive than I am. And I think she passed this trait on to our children. None of our kids can seem to decide on any sort of HVAC thermostat setting. When you throw my wife into the mix this can be tough all the way around. And this season that is upon us is the worst. Nobody can ever figure out what sort of the thermostat setting we need during the winter. But this winter is going to be much different thanks to me. I called the HVAC professionals and had them come out to tweak the HVAC unit so we can have zone controlled HVAC. I was surprised at how cost effective having this HVAC upgrade was so I did it. There are now five separate zones for the heating and cooling of our house. And everyone can now find the thermostat setting that suits them individually. Again I think it’s all about equality in our house.
