Pets can affect your indoor air quality

My pets are part of me.

I would not trade my furry friends for anything in the world, but that is not to say that they do not come with their share of challenges, the most unexpected one had to do with the A/C system.

After getting 2 cats, the air quality in my house changed. I learned from the A/C professional that I had to change the air filter more often than I previously did. It was all new to me, and I was studying in the process. After a while, I realized it would take more than my A/C unit for air purification. I sought advice from a house repair company. The A/C worker I consulted suggested to me to upgrade to a smart A/C. I told him that was not a choice for me at the time since I had to pay for surgery for one of the cats. The alternative was to install a separate whole-home air purifier. The system would enable me to achieve the desired indoor air quality, however other than the whole-house air purifier, I would also need to carry out duct cleaning. It was to get rid of the pet dander, dust, and grime in the vents so that the air circulating in the air ducts would not carry dirt and other unwanted impurities. After that, the air purification help would do the rest, but when he finished all the purchases and upgrades, the change in indoor comfort was noticeable. It was so pleasant that I wondered how I had survived previously with the state it was in. There was more that came with owning cats, it was well worth it, but my 2 cats were my babies and, quite literally, the apple of my eye.
