Do I call Air Conditioning contractor?
Whenever I went into our kitchen, I could smell rotten oranges.
I hadn’t had any oranges in our modern home for the last couple of weeks, so I could not suss out where the smell was.
It wasn’t that bad of a smell, but it was getting stronger. I looked in the fruit tote to see if I could find an orange peel I had overlooked, but there were none. I asked our child if she had brought an orange home from the university. When the heat turned on, the smell of oranges got even stronger. It hit me that the smell of orange was coming out of the air vent! For some reason, the furnace was giving off an orange scented heat. I asked our hubby what he thought, but he said that if it sad me, I should call the Heating plus Air Conditioning contractor. I was not 100% sure if I should call them, because it wasn’t an emergency. Had I not had any heat, or the smell was that bad, I would be more concerning plus I would have called the Heating plus Air Conditioning contractor, but it wasn’t. I decided to give it a few afternoons longer, plus see if the smell faded or got worse. My hubby asked when I first observed the rotten orange smell, plus I remembered it had been right after Halloween. I had changed the air filter on September 1st, plus the orange smell started a couple of afternoons after. My hubby went downstairs plus pulled the air filter out, but there wasn’t anything there. What he found was old orange peels inside the air vent itself. I looked at our child plus asked when she ate oranges?
