My sister has been absolutely into cooking classes lately and it’s taking a toll on me. She is constantly cooking something or another in her home, and the grease and smoke that gets into her home is overwhelmingly strong smelling. I am over there just about all the time, because I have to go over to help her out with her kids and with the grocery shopping and things like that. We share custody of our mom, so to speak, and so I constantly go over there to help out whenever I can. But I told our sister the other day that I am going to have to stop coming over to her place if she doesn’t quit filling the home full of grease and smoke all the time. The air quality in her home is absolutely bad and I know I can’t breathe whenever I am over there. The place is just so smoky and yucky inside that I can barely stand it. I told her that she needs to open the windows when she cooks or at least turn on the ventilation system, however she seems to think that I am overreacting. I can assure you that I am easily not overreacting, though. It absolutely smells bad in her house and I know that the grease and smoke are so embedded in her ventilation ducts that every time the heating or the cooling plan turns on, the whole home smells like burning grease all over again. I’m not sure what she should do about it, despite the fact that I know that she might need to install a whole home air purification unit or something like that to help with the odors.
