The HVAC system in the office where I work is just terrible.
It’s always been this way, ever since I started working here years ago.
I love my job, but the office building where the company is located is just absolutely terrible. I don’t understand why in the world they decided to rent the office space here in this particular building because it is the worst. I don’t think that the building owners have ever updated the heating and cooling system in the building once from the time that we started working here in this building. I have been part of this company for almost fifteen years now and I don’t remember them ever coming in and doing any kind of work on the HVAC system in the building before. I guess that’s probably the reason that the indoor air quality here is so terrible. During the summers, the air conditioning is practically non-existent. It gets so hot in the buildings during the summer that I can barely stand to be in the building. It’s just awful whenever the temperatures outside are anywhere over about 75 degrees. The building gets so warm and stuffy that it’s a nightmare to try to get any work done at all. It’s the same way in the winter, too, except for the fact that you’re freezing cold all day. I ended up having to get a little space heater to put at my desk because the whole building feels like the inside of a meat locker in the winter! I wish they would do something about it.
