When I went to the movies the other night to see that new scary movie that just came out, there was a really weird ticking sound coming from the heating system.

At first I thought that the sound would probably stop after the heating system warmed up a little bit, but it just kept on going! I had never been anywhere with that kind of annoying sound coming from the heating system before! I thought that there must have been something wrong with the heating unit, but the theater was super warm inside.

By the time the previews were over, the ticking sound was driving me crazy and I couldn’t stand it anymore. I finally jumped up and went out to the main lobby to complain to one of the managers about it. He said that they had been having some issues with the commercial HVAC system in the building and that they were waiting for a commercial HVAC company to come and work on the heating unit for that particular theater. I thought that it was just my luck that I would end up buying tickets for a movie in the one theater that had a ticking heating system inside of it! I ended up telling the manager that there was no way that I could stay in that room because I just can’t stand repetitive sounds. I told him it was making me crazy, and he told me that he could not turn it off because the theater would get really cold in no time. He finally just gave me a refund.
