We just found out recently that our neighbors are going to be getting a divorce.

The really sad thing about it is that they are really breaking up over nothing. At least that’s the way it seems, in my opinion. I mean, I understand why some people get divorced because they really actually do have irreconcilable differences. Some people just can’t stay married. However, I don’t think that’s the case with these people. Their irreconcilable difference is the fact that they can’t agree on what temperature to keep their thermostat settings at. When I first found this out, I nearly laughed. I could not believe that that was their actual problem. I mean, it looks like they would be able to come to some terms about this sort of thing. Whenever the wife told me that she could not stand to live with her husband and his major love of air conditioning anymore, I just couldn’t understand it. It was just the weirdest thing. You would think that if she was too cold that she would just put on a sweater and an extra pair of socks, not divorce the man that she used to love. I feel like the whole thing with the temperature settings is just an excuse. It just doesn’t make much sense to me, that’s for sure. I guess one of them loves the air conditioning and the other one loves to use the furnace all the time. You would think that they would be able to work this out, though! I guess some people are just too selfish.
