The dog scared the heck out of me

The dog scared the heck out of me

I do not respectfully go to apartments to help with A/C concerns. Most of the condo buildings around here have a building supervisor or service guy that is Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C certified. I got a call from a service supervisor south of town. The guy told me that he needed help installing an A/C device and he did not have extra people to do the work. He wondered if I could handle the replacement job that day and get it done by myself. I was glad to help and I had the time to help with the commercial Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C replacement job. An condo A/C install does not take entirely long so I knew I could complete the job before the end of the day. The service guy said he would pop in and out to help with some of the strenuous stuff too, so I knew that would help with several of the sizable tasks that would take a while to complete. I asked the building service supervisor for the keys to the apartment. I never asked the guy if there was a dog inside. It completely slipped our mind and the service supervisor failed to tell me that there was a dog inside. When I opened the door, the dog was sitting on the other side, ready to pounce on me. Thankfully, the dog was much more friendly than fierce. He did not make a entirely wonderful watch dog however I was pretty scared for a minute. I was going to put the dog in 1 of the family rooms while I took care of the install, but the dog seemed perfectly calm and glad with me in the room. There was no reason to lock him up for our safety.
