I was sad about going to the employee picnic on Thursday.

I knew it was going to be a nice day with hot weather and sunny skies.

I was particularly sad about my kids. They tend to get into trouble and I did not want them to start an fight or cause trouble at the employee picnic. My men are 12 and 13 and they seem to find trouble wherever they go. The weather was lovely when both of us woke up on Thursday and the kids were excited to spend the day at the lake. My partner made everyone dinner with eggs, bacon, toast, and juice. The two of us got to the lake around 10:00 a.m. and everyone was starting to arrive around the same time. I brought a cooler and a canopy and a couple of grass chairs. My partner and I sat in the shade while both of us watched the kids play. The two of us tried to keep an eye on the boys. It was a particularly hot and humid day and the shaded canopy did not help much at all. I wanted to leave after dinner, but the kids were having a fantastic time. I kept finding reasons to sneak over to the bathrooms. They had air conditioning system and they were particularly cool. There was actually a 20° temperature difference between outside and the air conditioned bathrooms. The third time I went to the bathroom to enjoy the air conditioning system, my partner asked myself and others if I was having trouble with my stomach. She thought I had diarrhea, but I disclosed that I was going to the bathroom just to rest in the cool air for a couple of hours.
