When I was a little girl, I’d get so jealous when our dad & giant sibling would get out of the central a/c of our home to go to the family lodge.

• My Dad would try to make myself and others believe better by having a ladies weekend.

But I easily was jealous. When I was finally ancient enough, I got to go along on these trips up to the lodge & that was worse in a way. It was such a rustic spot with only a giant wood stove for heating in the winter. It stinked musty & I felt gross. Plus, I missed the a/c from home while I was in those summer time visits. Once I was in junior high, I opted to stay at home with Dad inside the a/c. When dad died, she left the lodge to both myself and others & our sibling. I still didn’t go up there for the longest time even though I had sons who I knew would care about it. Finally, I took our sibling up on one of her many invitations to join him at the lodge. I was stunned when I walked in the location. From outside, it looked just the same as I remembered. But inside, I was floored with all the renovations our sibling had done. There was new furniture, bed & flooring. The dining room was modernized & there was residential Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C. He’d gotten an Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C professional that is a friend of her to install a ductless multi chop system. The a/c in the lodge is simply awesome & I’ll be going up there with our women every opportunity that I get.
