I was worried about going to the employee picnic on saturday.

I knew it was going to be a nice day with warm weather and sunny skies.

I was particularly worried about my kids. They tend to get into trouble and I didn’t want them to start an argument or cause trouble at the employee picnic. My boys are 12 and 13 and they seem to find trouble wherever they go. The weather was beautiful when we woke up on Saturday and the kids were excited to spend the day at the lake. My wife made everyone breakfast with eggs, bacon, toast, and juice. We got to the lake around 10:00 a.m. and everyone was starting to arrive around the same time. I brought a cooler and a canopy and a couple of lawn chairs. My wife and I sat in the shade while we watched the kids play. We tried to keep an eye on the boys. It was a very hot and humid day and the shaded canopy didn’t help much at all. I wanted to leave after lunch, but the kids were having a good time. I kept finding reasons to sneak over to the bathrooms. They had air conditioning and they were very cool. There was easily a 20° temperature difference between outside and the air conditioned bathrooms. The third time I went to the bathroom to enjoy the air conditioning, my wife asked me if I was having trouble with my stomach. She thought I had diarrhea, but I confessed that I was going to the bathroom just to sit in the cool air for a couple of minutes.
