Did one eighty on moving to the land of the heat pump
Did one eighty on moving to the land of the heat pump
My wife and I have always been planners and preparers.
This is a mindset that has always proved to be essential to living the sort of lives that we want to live.
For sure, there are plenty of times where spontaneity is welcomed in the most planned out life. Otherwise, the routine of going to work inside the zone controlled HVAC of the office each day would have been less than enjoyable. For more than a decade though, the idea of retiring down south where the heat pump rules the day was something we were all about. This had always sort of been the plan all along really. Finally hanging it up was another part of the long term plan. And for years, we had figured that we’d move to where we no longer needed to count on as much HVAC heating as we have all our lives. Where we live, this is a constant for almost half the year. Frankly, that was just too much winter for me and my wife. So the idea of upgrading the HVAC equipment and selling the family home was one we had planned on for some time. That all changed in just a matter of months. Our oldest daughter had our first grandchild and that changed everything. We did indeed get the heating and cooling equipment upgraded but we didn’t list the house. Instead, it appears that we will be making our retirement happen right here as we get to watch our grandchildren grow up. Still though, we’re so excited to have the latest in residential HVAC while we’re doing it.
