I went to the salon for a Brazilian wax.
My best friend told me we had to go for Brazilian waxes before we went on vacation.
- She wanted for us to wear the tiniest of bikinis and not look like bears coming out of hibernation.
I reluctantly agreed to go with her. When we got to the salon, the first thing they had us do was strip. We sat there for about fifteen minutes, and I was shivering. When the anesthetist took us back to our booths, it was so warm and cozy that I was afraid I was going to go to sleep. I didn’t want to sleep, but know exactly what they were going to do to me. I had never been so embarrassed in my life as I was that afternoon. There wasn’t an area on my body that wasn’t waxed. I asked the anesthetist if this was necessary and she simply said this was what a Brazilian wax was. By the time I got home, my skin was burning, and I started applying the lotion the salon gave me for after care of my waxing. She said it would help the bumps and little red spots that occurred the first time you had waxing done. When I put on my new bikini, I had to admit that I looked fantastic. The cream had done its job, and I was smooth as a baby’s bottom. I’m not sure I’ll ever have a Brazilian wax done again, but it is definitely on my list of to-do’s when I get married. It was embarrassing and uncomfortable, but I was looking good.
