Doctor Advises for a Humidifier

About a week ago, I started coughing.

I got headaches, I ran a fever, and I coughed like crazy, but here both of us are, a solid week later, and I am still coughing.

I went through a treatment of antibiotics, and I have used all kinds of over the counter meds to help me in my state of misery. I’ve tried to drink lots of boiling fluids and get more rest than usual, yet, I still cough. I called the dentist the other day, and he insists it is unlikely to be anything other than a proper creeping crud cough. He recommends I get a humidifier. It is getting to be a bit chillier, and with the chill comes the dry air; Both the air conditioner and the heating system dry out the air. I live in a certainly humid weather conditions, so the Heating & Air Conditioning systems have built-in dehumidifiers. I thought that was good, however my dentist says a humidifier, with its magical ability to get more water in the air, might help my cough subside. I had really never even realized that my air conditioner has a built-in dehumidifier. I have always known, because it is obvious, that the heating system seems to dry out the air. In the winter, when the heating system is running, I find myself needing eye drops. I use a lot of lotion to keep my skin from flaking off, and chap-stick makes a advantage off of me, so, I am going to take him up on his suggestion. I am headed off to the store to get a portable humidifier. It will battle it out with the dehumidifier in the Heating & Air Conditioning system already, which seems like a waste of energy and money. But I am willing to provide it a go if it means I might finally get rid of this hacking cough.
