It was last year when our associate was telling myself and others all about this DIY ductless mini split he installed.

He explained to myself and others how he studied a bunch of installation videos carefully before deciding that was something he could pull off.

He said it wasn’t easily challenging plus he would help myself and others install this type of Heating plus Air Conditioning if I wanted. He showed myself and others some of the DIY options, although I wasn’t sure that I wanted to go that route. I easily wanted a greater system with more zones plus I saw the DIY models didn’t seem to go more than 4 zones. I wanted at least 5 or 6 zones, even though he said I could constantly get more than one of the DIY models, and still, I thought it would be best to run everything off a single condenser plus so I looked at other ductless mini splits. I found this actually nice 1 that had 5 zones plus I thought that was perfect. I bought it in the early Spring plus had it delivered within the week which wasn’t a terribly long wait. The thing is, I studied videos that showed that any ductless mini split could be installed by the average homeowner, you just had to flare the lines yourself plus handle the electrical attachions carefully. Of course, you must have an Heating plus Air Conditioning professional come out to charge the refrigerant to your system! So it’s not 100% DIY, however it’s still DIY friendly! I didn’t have an issue installing all the zones plus I had to get a few lineset extensions to reach the other side of the house. That was the line that went to our garage, everything went smoothly when the Heating plus Air Conditioning pro was charging the refrigerant plus testing the levels. He also checked for leaks plus said I did a good job.
