I am here visiting my stepmom at my dad’s house that he built twenty years ago. He passed away in 2020 and she is going to sell the house soon, so next time I come back to visit from overseas the house will belong to someone else. I never thought he would go so fast and so quickly as he did but life offers you twists and turns that you would never expect. My dad ran a local company doing HVAC repairs and services and made a good living doing so. My stepmom just gave us each $100K as a gift and I promptly put it in cryptos and lost over half already. I’m not going to sell it though and hopefully it bounces back up one day. I think of all of the hard work my dad did in the HVAC industry to earn that money and I am not going to lose it all. I think it will all be okay, I just need to have a little patience and weather the storm we are in right now. I also work in the HVAC field doing repairs on heat pumps and air conditioners and am trying to save my own money so I don’t have to rely on dad’s money. There probably won’t be any more money coming to me anyways so I need to just focus on making my own nest egg. I have a lot of requests from customers for HVAC repair and service so I am thankful for that and am eager to get the jobs done.
