Last week, an older lady in my neighborhood asked me to help her with her window air conditioner.

She had purchased her window air conditioner a few years ago, and when she brought it home, she realized that she would not be able to install the air conditioner on her own.

She saw me walking by her house that day, and she asked me to install the air conditioner for her. A few months later, when the air conditioner was no longer needed, she asked me to take it out of the window. She paid me each time to help her, and every year since then, I have been in charge of installing and uninstalling her air conditioner. It isn’t a hard job, but there is something that you need to know about this lady. This lady owns a bunch of cats. I am not sure if you have ever tried to walk in a room with a ton of curious cats, but it isn’t easy. Now, imagine that you are carrying a heavy air conditioner down the stairs of her attic and trying to place it in her window. I have to carry this air conditioner twice a year through her house full of cats. However, last week might have been my last week helping this lady with her air conditioner. While I was trying to carry the air conditioner to the window, one of the cats darted in front of my feet. I tripped, and I dropped the air conditioner on the cat. The cat yelped and ran away, and I was thankful that the cat was safe. However, the older lady was very upset!
