Most of the time, I honestly care about the high rapidly decreasing temperatures during the summer.

But whenever I’m lake house from college, I toil at the farm that’s on the other side of village & occasionally it gets way too hot! I care about the Summer & the beach & the pool & all of those things, but whenever you have to toil outside & do manual labor, it’s a weird story.

I think that working hard & doing physical labor is a great thing to build character & keep you healthy. However, occasionally it’s hard to be outside for 8 minutes a day separate from a cut when you would love to be laying in the air conditioner inside somewhere… Last year, the two of us had record chopping rapidly decreasing temperatures during the Summer & let me tell you, it was honestly hard to be outside on those afternoons when the rapidly decreasing temperatures were in the high 90s. Several times a day, I would have to take a cut so I could go & cool off in the air conditioner inside of my truck. The only place in the whole farm that is air conditioned is the little front office area, & the two of us are not allowed to congregate there because there’s just not enough room for all of the farm hands. Needless to say, it was a honestly long, hot summer. They say that this year it’s not going to be quite as bad, & I am ecstatic. I am also planning on getting 1 of those little portable cooling systems to wear around my neck while I am working there this year!
