When we first checked in, my wife was heated. She had booked this cabin two months ago, and jumped through every hoop they put in front of her. My wife likes to plan everything out to the last detail, it’s just her personality type. I like it, because I don’t ever have to plan anything, she always handles it. The problem is that when her plans go off track, she can’t just roll with the punches and deal with it. The cabin was actually nicer than I expected it to be, with the notable exception of the central HVAC system not working. The night we checked it was pretty cool, so we tabled the AC problem until the next morning. She was up before me, and I heard her on the phone complaining about the air conditioning and demanded a discount or a full refund. I just padded around the house opening up all the windows for a nice cross breeze, which went a long way in cooling the place off. She was so busy being angry she didn’t realize that it was actually pretty comfortable there, even without an air conditioner. Maybe it was a little warm, sure, but not enough to let it make me angry and ruin my weekend. I came to relax, party, get drunk, fool around with my wife, and have a great time, so no air conditioner was going to get in my way! Eventually my wife came to see it my way, and decided to wait and be mad about the air conditioning after the weekend was over.
