If you believe that heating & A/C complications in hotels only happen in the cheap ones you are wrong. I was staying at a 5 star hotel a few months ago on corporation & the entire commercial heating & A/C plan went out! It was pretty tepid outside & air conditioning was something that was honestly much needed. They had a heck of a time getting the heating & A/C corporation out there to repair the commercial heat & cooling system unit. So what they ended up doing was giving most people a discount on their stay in addition to a free 2 nights to make up for the inconvenience of having no central air conditioning. They did give most people there with portable cooling systems to keep the rooms cool while they worked out the issue in getting the heat & cooling system corporation out to repair their commercial heating & cooling system. So at least no one had to leave. But that was honestly kind of them to offer the discount & the free 2 nights for all the trouble they had with the commercial heating & A/C plan unit! That was legitimately superb corporation & I will say that no matter what I will end up staying at the hotel again the next time I am on corporation in the area. They finally did get the commercial heating & A/C plan repaired within 48 hours. I was there for a whole week, so I ended up getting the 2 nights free & did not have to have them on a credit plan like others did that were leaving before.
