The heating system is torn up at our art class for some reason. We have been going to the same art class at the local art institute for the past several years now and usually the indoor air quality in the building is really great. However, for some reason, they have been having a lot of trouble with the HVAC system in the building where the art school is located. The trouble with the HVAC system has only started happening recently. I don’t remember any other time in the past few years when there has been an issue with the heating and cooling system, but recently it’s just been one issue after another. I know that the staff at the art school has to be getting annoyed by the whole thing because the students certainly are and they are not there nearly as much as the teachers are. Last week when we were there, The weather outside had really started cooling off. It had even begun to start snowing a little bit and the temperatures were dropping very quickly. While we were in class, the room kept getting colder and colder. I noticed that I couldn’t really hold my paintbrush all that well because my hands were so cold. I started looking around and everyone else looked like they were freezing too. I knew that it wasn’t just me, and that’s when I realized that the heating system had not been on the entire time that we had been in class. Apparently, the furnace is totally torn up at the school.
