Air conditioning set up in restaurants are often bad
No matter what the temperatures are outside, it is uncomfortable to the shopper trying to eat there.
I’ve been to numerous diners in our life, and I have to tell you that most of them do not know which end is up when it comes to the heating and air conditioner set up in their establishments. They consistently seem to have the air vents pointed directly down on the purchasers with the air direct. This is not a good idea! By doing this it does not create legitimately nice indoor comfort, but quite the reverse. No matter what the temperatures are outside, it is uncomfortable to the shopper trying to eat there. I have only seen a few times where they certainly knew how to do usual heating and air conditioner set up, then on top of it all, the fact that most sites have commercial heating and air conditioner makes it worse because the commercial heating and air conditioner systems are certainly more powerful than the residential heating and air conditioner systems. So when at all possible, I consistently ask to be seated at a table away from any air vents that carry the heating and air conditioner from the commercial HVAC method unit. I do not know why they have not got a clue about how to set up the usual heating and air conditioner set up, but that is just the way it seems to have consistently been for whatever the reason may be. Of course you need the heating and air conditioner, but at the same time, too much of a nice thing in the wrong position is not such a nice thing.
