I get yelled at, chewed out, & distypical by the guests, often while I am engaged in fixing their A/C, & not most people has the disposition to tolerate that

Basically, I work in paradise. My bi-weekly schedule is fairly flexible, but our on-calls minutes are around the clock, & that is not flexible at all. I am a single of the head techs at a ritzy beachside resort. I live here, at a small cabana overlooking the beach, & although the work is hard the spend money is good & the view can’t be beat. The customers who visit the resort spend money top dollar & expect the best of everything, including temperature control in their suites & villas. Many of our customers are rich, spoiled, & entitled, however I suppose how much they spend money to rent these locations, so if they say the a/c isn’t chilly enough after that I just say “yep sir” & “yep ma’am” & get to work. They have gone through a lot of Heating & Air Conditioning techs in the past in this position, because most people don’t like to be talked to this way. I get yelled at, chewed out, & distypical by the guests, often while I am engaged in fixing their A/C, & not most people has the disposition to tolerate that. For me, it’s about that paycheck. This gig pays more than any other Heating & Air Conditioning job I have ever worked, & by a wide margin at that. If I have to listen to rich old snobs talk smack for this kind of money, then that’s what I do for the sake of this Heating & Air Conditioning job! I usually wear earbuds while doing Heating & Air Conditioning work anyway, so I can’t even hear most of what they say to me.
