What is the best heating in larger buildings?
My best friend bought a large office building and he had renovated.
He wanted to lease out the spaces for offices and small crafters to sell their wares.
He had all of the renovations completed except for the HVAC system. He thought he had the air conditioning planned out, but he was unsure of what kind of heating to install. I had been in HVAC for quite a long time, but I had never done any HVAC work for large commercial buildings. When he asked me to help him out, I told him I needed some time to do some research and talk to some of the HVAC techs I knew who worked with large commercial buildings. A friend of mine told me that if he wanted to get the most efficient type of heating, hydronic heating would be perfect. Hydronic heating involves the process of heating water that is circulated throughout the building with pipes. The heat is radiated throughout the building through the use of warmboard or hot water baseboard heat. I went back to my best friend and I told him what the other HVAC technician had told me. I knew he wanted to do what was going to give the best and most efficient heating for the building. He wanted to know more about warmboard and hot water baseboard heat. I got him all of the information so he could make a good choice on what he wanted installed into his commercial building. I think he is leaning toward the hot water baseboard heat. If he hadn’t already installed the flooring, he may have chosen warmboard heating.
