The past week has been filled with one problem after another.

Part of the issue is my own fault.

I took on too much responsibility this year at the annual church bake sale. I agreed to make brownies, pies, cookies, and three different Boston cream pies. I knew it was going to take 2 days to make all of the items. I started working on Thursday afternoon and I planned to finish by Saturday evening. The church bake sale was Sunday morning. Things were moving along very swiftly until I had a batch of brownies that were undercooked. The oven wasn’t hot even though I had the temperature set to 350 degrees. My husband checked on the oven and realized that we needed a new heating element. Thank goodness the hardware store is close to our home, because of that problem set me back a total of 2 hours. By the time I started baking again, I was already feeling nervous and anxious about the time. When the kitchen air conditioner stopped working, I was ready to scream. With the air conditioner running, it was still 80 degrees in the kitchen. When the air conditioner stopped running, the temperature got hotter and hotter. I made my husband fix the air conditioner immediately, even though he was supposed to leave to meet some friends. I’m sure he was ready to scream as well by the time he was done fixing all of the problems we had that day. At least the items for the bake sale were a huge success. We managed to earn quite a bit of money.
