It really doesn’t take all that much for people to actually get along with each other.

And that’s too bad.

We all have opinions because that’s what helps us all be individuals. Yet, kindness and compassion sure could use a boost. I’m lucky that something as simple as an HVAC unit need could prove that point in a way that rings so true and pure. With the help of the great people at our local HVAC company, that’s exactly what happened. We came together as a community in order to take care of one of our own. The neighborhood I live in is very diverse. There’s just about every color, language, culture and more going on. We are for sure a stew. Still, we are neighbors and we are as tolerant and kind to each other as we can be in order to live together. And it works. Then it goes to the next level with something like the HVAC equipment replacement for a treasured neighbor. A lady on our street was trying to get through the blazing summer heat without any air conditioning. The community came to her aid. It was quiet but direct in urgency for us to correct this HVAC equipment situation. A group of us started seeking out HVAC companies to partner with. And one some of actually use stepped up. We raised enough to cover almost all of the heat pump unit cost. The HVAC company made up the rest and installed it for free. It was a triumph for us and a triumph for compassion and togetherness.
