I was always a responsible kid when I was coming up and so my parents put a lot of trust in me.

When they would go places, they didn’t think I needed a babysitter or anything.

They also trusted me not to throw parties at the house. That was something I never did, I wasn’t popular enough for that anyway. I remember this one time when my mother asked me to pick up a few things from the store and she gave me her credit card to use. She told me to get a few items that she needed and to get something for myself. Well, I didn’t really know what I could possibly use for myself until I saw the window A/C units. They had these really nice smart window A/C units that came equipped with a built in smart thermostat. It was cool because you could connect with the window A/C unit with your phone. You could easily program the thermostat on a certain schedule or you could allow the window A/C unit to learn your preferences so it would adjust the temperature control settings automatically. I ended up getting that and worried that my parents might be mad. I told my mother about the smart window A/C unit and she actually agreed that it was great. She said it would probably help me focus more on my studies and I thought she was definitely right about that. It was way better than just using a fan and I even had it set to automatically turn off when it sensed that I left the room! How cool is that!?
